((RC)) BF2 Server RulesIn order to provide a clean, safe and positive gaming experience for everyone, we have created the following rules for our BF2 server. We will also try our best to eliminate any profane, sexual, or racist remarks on our server. We encourage good sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork.

1. What will get you kicked

2. What will get you banned
3. Is spawn-killing allowed?
4. Commander's Responsibility
5. Purpose of Un-Capturable Base Rules (aka UCB)
6. UCB rule re: Aircraft vs Aircraft
7. What is prohibited at UCB
8. Advertising/Recruiting

In addition to the rules EA Games has set forth and Rules of Engagement, we have established the following rules and guidelines for our BF2 Ranked Server.

Note: The majority of these rules are posted in-game via auto-messages and displayed in large orange or green text. These auto-messages serve as courtesy warnings to all players on the server; therefore, you maybe kicked by an admin (at their discretion) without any additional warnings.

What will get you Kicked:

  1. Foul language; including but not limited to the words listed in the banned words list. Abbreviated, disguised or in original form. (Some words will get you banned immediately.)
  2. Taunting or disrespecting teammates and other players. (Some taunting gestures will get you banned.)
  3. Spawn killing at "uncapturable" spawn points. (See "other guidelines" for rules of engagement at UCB.)
  4. Punishing for accidental TK's. (If you are caught doing it.)
  5. Being a "Kamikaze" - (Using aircraft as a pilot guided missile; ex. - intentionally ramming into other aircraft, ships or vehicles)
  6. TK'ing to obtain vehicles or aircraft.
  7. Not waiting your turn and jumping ahead of others waiting for a vehicle or aircraft.
  8. Destroying Team assets ie; vehicles, aircraft. (Only time you may destroy team assets is when preventing enemy from stealing them.)

What will get you Banned:

  1. Mocking God, or profaning God’s name.
  2. Mocking our Christian beliefs or other religions.
  3. Foul tags; ie; Racist, sexual, profane, etc.
  4. Multiple violations, ignoring server rules or repeated warnings given out by server admins or ((RC)) members.
  5. Cheating - Stats padding, using hacks, glitching, etc.
  6. Dis-respecting server Admins or ((RC)) members.

You may appeal your case.
Appeal your ban here and at our discretion - we may investigate the circumstances around the ban.

OTHER GUIDELINES:

Spawn killing at "capturable bases" is permitted on this server as long as there is an obvious attempt in capturing the base. However, if the flag is defended aggressively, spawn-killing will be inevitable. Aircraft are also allowed in preventing enemy aircraft from taking off. ie; Wake Island ... USMC pilots can suppress J-10 and attack helicopter since the China airfield is not a UCB.

Ramming - DO NOT use aircraft as pilot guided missles to intentionally eliminate vehicles, aircraft or enemy troops. However, you MAY use vehicles to "roadkill" the enemy.

Car Bombs

You may load a vehicle with C-4 and use it as a car bomb to attack an armored vehicle or eliminate enemies at capture flag.

However, the driver must make every effort to survive and NOT make it a suicide run.

COMMANDER'S Responsibility:

The Commander's main responsibility is to command and provide timely communications and support for the team. In games where there are less than 8 players on the team, then the commander is able to join in the front-line battle. If there is more than 8 players per team stay back and command, fighting will be a disruption of game play. Additionally, per EA’s rules, commanders may fly aircraft as long as the commander continues to provide his team with timely enemy troop movement reports, provide supplies and UAV support when available.

TEAM Members' Responsibility

Do NOT call for "Mutiny" of the commander if radar, UAV and artillery has been destroyed by the enemy; thus, preventing the commander from doing his or her job.

It is the responsibility of the team to defend and eliminate the attack on the UCB or to protect radar, UAV, artillery and vehicles. Even if it means pulling soldiers, or even squads, out of the field of battle and "back to base."

Teamwork is highly encouraged! Play in squads and follow squad leaders' and commander's orders.

Rules of Engagement at UN-CAPTURABLE BASE (aka UCB)

Purpose

BF2's design dictates that you must attack assets belonging to the enemy located in or near the uncapturable base (UCB). Attacks near spawning players can sometimes be mistaken for "spawn killing".

Spawn Killing defined:

"Spawn killing" requires a deliberate INTENT to wait at the spawn location and EXPLOIT a player's post-spawn lack of orientation to obtain a kill. You are sitting, waiting to attack a player immediately after he enters gameplay (respawns). This is spawn killing and it is NOT allowed at the Un-Capturable Base.

What is allowed at UCB

Click HERE to display UCB Boundaries for each map.

Basically, you can enter UCB and while on foot attack/destroy commander assets, aircraft, armor and vehicles.

Examples:

You may enter an uncapturable base to destroy artillery emplacements, radar and UAV tralier.

You may enter the UCB to destroy or steal enemy's vehicles and aircraft.

You may use AA emplacements in UCB to shoot at armored vehicle or destroy un-occupied aircraft. (You must allow occupied aircraft to take off before attacking.)

You may use the ESSEX to shoot ONLY at "airborne" aircraft. NOT at infantry or spawning players.

You may use TOW missile emplacements in UCB to shoot at armor, vehicles or un-occupied aircraft
(You must allow occupied aircraft to take off before attacking).

You may sabotage enemy vehicles and aircraft. ie: mine them or place C4 on them and detonate when then are driving away in vehicle or when aircraft is airborne.

You may snipe pilots and gunner when they are airborne or players in vehicles.

You may use vehicles and armor to shoot at aircraft once they are "airborne" as long as you are NOT within the UCB boundaries.

You may use the AT kit to attack/destroy armor, vehicles and airborne aircraft in the UCB.

Note 1:
For Aircraft vs Aircraft (Jets, choppers, bombers). Once airborne, the UCB is no longer a safe haven for pilots and their aircraft. Pilots may continue to trail and attack enemy aircraft even when they try to repair over the UCB. Do this with caution though as your stray bullets or missiles may hit ground troops and cause you to be mistakenly kicked for killing ground troops at the UCB.

Note 2:

While in the enemy's UCB, it is the responsibility of the attacker to avoid enemy contact at all costs. The attacker may and should defend himself and his fellow soldiers from attack; however, the attacker may NOT fire on the enemy unless fired upon. If the attacker is detected and the mission compromised, it’s better for the attacker to abort the mission and escape or to accept death rather then start a firefight in the UCB.

Commanders may use artillery on UCB.

During an attack on the enemy's UCB, you MAY attack enemy units attempting to repair UCB assets but NOT at their spawn.

What is prohibited at UCB

Pilots are NOT allowed to attack the UCB - which includes: bombing or strafing enemy ground troops or vehicles, shooting at aircraft as they are taking off and shooting at AA's.

Players spawning at their UCB may not take advantage of the UCB's 'protective cover' to attack enemy forces from the UCB.

Examples: Sniping the enemy from UCB, Pilots launching TV guided missles from UCB.

However, the Commander can launch attacks on the enemy (via artillery) from the UCB and you MAY use the AA emplacements at the UCB or Aircraft Carrier to shoot down enemy aircraft.

Entering an uncapturable base for the express purpose of camping the spawn to "spawnkill" is strictly prohibited.

Do NOT bring Armor or Vehicles within the UCB Boundaries to attack the enemy or to destroy assets.

Sniping the enemy infantry (players on foot) at their UCB is NOT allowed.

TV guided missles are NOT to be used to attack the UCB. Maybe used ONLY on "airborne" aircraft.

Aircraft may NOT fire back at AA emplacements at UCB to defend themselves.

Why?

  1. We want to discourage Aircraft from going near the UCB.
  2. AA missles can be evaded.
  3. Aircraft still has the advantage.
Advertising Recruiting
  1. No advertisement of sources that are seemed inappropriate for example: warez, drugs, pornography cheats, GSP, etc, also advertising other server hosts isn't allowed.
  2. Please refrain from recruiting on our server, we ask that clans respect our wishes. Any clans that are caught recruiting will be warned or possibly kicked if repeated.

Good Sportsmanship

Good sportsmanship is always encouraged on this server. NO TRASH Talking - DO NOT belittle, "cut-down", or make mean remarks regarding any player on the server. (Subject to Admin's discretion.)

Take turns using vehicles and aircraft. If you see another player waiting for an aircraft or vehicle to respawn, please do NOT cut in line but wait your turn.
